Stress Analysis of the Radius and Ulna in Tennis at Different Flexion Angles of the Elbow

In this paper, based on the finite element method, stresses of radius and ulna are analyzed at different flexion angles elbow when playing tennis. The model is presented for position with 0°, 25°, 60°, 80° according to normal human arm bone. model, whole metacarpals, radius, ulna, humerus scapula considered. calculation simplified by setting metacarpals as rigid bodies using Tie binding constraints between ulna. This discretized 10-node second-order tetrahedral (C3D10). contains 109,765 nodes 68,075 elements. hitting forces applied metacarpal bone 100 N 300 N, respectively. numerical results show that highest principal points 1/4 joint, 1/10 maximum stress external pressures more pronounced angle increases magnitude force does not affect distribution pattern.
